Man City vs Chelsea confirmed team news: No Erling Haaland in squad

On Saturday, Man City and Chelsea will face off in the first FA Cup semi-final at Wembley, a crucial game for both clubs’ seasons.

Despite Manchester City’s recent disappointment in the Champions League against Real Madrid, where they were eliminated on penalties after failing to capitalize on chances, their season remains promising.

With ambitions still intact in the Premier League and FA Cup, Guardiola’s team, currently leading the league, is heavily favored to secure the double. However, the midweek defeat to Real Madrid raises questions about their mindset going into the clash with Chelsea.

Guardiola has made four changes to the lineup, with Ortega Moreno, Stones, Ake, and Julian Alvarez stepping in for Ederson, Dias, Gvardiol, and Erling Haaland, the latter being sidelined due to injury concerns.

Chelsea’s season has been disappointing, but winning the FA Cup could redeem it, especially since they made it to the Carabao Cup final in February.

Mauricio Pochettino’s job security has been in question, but a victory over Man City at Wembley could alleviate the pressure on him. Despite a convincing 6-0 win against Everton earlier in the week, Chelsea’s focus shifted to a penalty dispute at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino has made only one alteration to the lineup, bringing back Enzo Fernandez in place of Mykhailo Mudryk.
