Liverpool Next Manager: 45-year-old manager is looking for a house in the city

Liverpool’s efforts to appoint a new manager are gaining momentum.

Following Jurgen Klopp’s announcement of his departure at the end of the season, the club has been linked with several potential replacements. Initially, Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen and Ruben Amorim of Sporting were top contenders.

However, recent reports indicate that Feyenoord’s Arne Slot is now the frontrunner. According to 1908.NL, Slot is eager about the opportunity to join Liverpool and is reportedly making subtle moves to leave Feyenoord.

He and his representative, Rafaela Pimenta, are reportedly confident enough to discuss the final details of the deal with Liverpool.

Slot is currently in the process of house hunting around the Liverpool area, indicating progress in the negotiations.

However, no final agreement has been reached yet, and further meetings are scheduled in the coming days. Once Liverpool finalizes terms with Slot, they will need to negotiate with Feyenoord, his current club, and potentially pay a transfer fee.

If everything falls into place, the report suggests that Slot and his entire family are prepared to relocate to England to live with him. Rumors suggest that Slot is actively searching for a home “in and around Liverpool” as part of his preparations for the potential move.

It appears that Liverpool may have identified their next manager.

The Merseyside club seems to have secured the individual who will succeed Klopp at the end of the season. The Dutch manager in question achieved success by winning the league title with Feyenoord last season.

Despite tempting offers from Chelsea and Tottenham in the Premier League last season, the 45-year-old Slot opted to remain at Feyenoord. In May 2023, he reaffirmed his commitment to the Rotterdam-based club by signing a contract extension until 2026.
