Two Feyenoord players are ‘desperate’ to join Arne Slot at Liverpool next season

Two Feyenoord footballers are said to be keen to join their manager, Arne Slot, at Liverpool if he assumes the managerial role at Anfield this summer.

Liverpool and Feyenoord have tentatively agreed on terms, with a compensation sum estimated to be between €11 and €15 million.

Slot, aged 45, has expressed his desire to transition to Anfield, with the intention of succeeding Jurgen Klopp, who is expected to leave at the conclusion of the current season.

Slot is departing Feyenoord after securing the Eredivisie championship last season and adding the KNVB Cup to his accomplishments this term.

His tenure has been marked by prudent spending and a reputation for nurturing talent, earning him acclaim in his native Netherlands.

Recent reports suggest that two of his current players are eager to join him at Liverpool once his appointment is formalized.

One of these players, Geertruida, attracted interest from RB Leipzig last summer, but Feyenoord rebuffed their offer of around €40 million. However, with Geertruida nearing the end of his contract, his future at De Kuip is uncertain.

Additionally, Feyenoord defender David Hancko has long admired Liverpool and could potentially fill the void left by Virgil van Dijk, who is also approaching the end of his contract at Anfield. At 26 years old, Hancko offers a promising long-term option for the Reds.
