Outrage over former Crystal Palace owner’s comments about Salah

Simon Jordan, former owner of Crystal Palace and pundit on talkSPORT, has faced widespread criticism following allegations of racist remarks directed towards Liverpool star Mo Salah.

These comments were made during a scathing critique of the Egyptian player, who has recently been embroiled in controversy due to a confrontation with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp during their match against West Ham, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Salah was visibly upset with Klopp on the sidelines shortly before West Ham scored their equalizer. Additionally, Salah’s performance has been less impactful since his return from injury, resulting in him being benched for several recent games.

While Simon Jordan’s criticism appears to have been highly personal, it has been met with strong condemnation.

Simon Jordan criticized Mo Salah on talkSPORT, expressing dislike for certain aspects of the player, including recent statements urging world leaders to allow humanitarian aid in Gaza.

Jordan remarked, “I don’t particularly like certain things about him, things he said recently about conflicts and altercations in other countries where he’s popped up.

” Additionally, Jordan questioned Salah’s playing ability, stating, “I don’t think he’s as good as people make him out to be.

I think he dives, I think he can be a fair weather player.” Jordan also suggested that Salah may not perform well under pressure, saying, “when the going gets tough some people stand up and fight and some people don’t.

I get this feeling that Salah can be one of those.” He acknowledged that his opinion may be unpopular but asserted that it is his perspective.
