Man City target has €150m price tag slapped on him to keep interested parties away

Bayer Leverkusen clinched the Bundesliga title recently, sparking interest from various clubs eyeing their players, notably Florian Wirtz, a target for Manchester City.

Marca reports that Leverkusen has set a €150m price tag on Wirtz amidst interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid, while Manchester City’s interest was previously noted by the Daily Star in February.

It’s certainly a possibility for Man City to consider Florian Wirtz for their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.

With their search for a top midfield player ongoing, they’ve been linked with Lucas Paqueta from West Ham and Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle.

While a move for Paqueta fell through last summer due to betting allegations, investigations are ongoing, potentially complicating any future transfer.
