Man Utd flop tipped for Aston Villa transfer in 2024

Teden Mengi, a former Manchester United defender, has been impressing with his performances for Luton Town in the Premier League this season, sparking rumors of a potential transfer to Aston Villa.

Despite struggling to break into the first team at Man Utd, the 21-year-old showed promise during loan spells before joining Luton permanently last summer.

Former Villa player Stan Collymore expressed his desire to see Mengi join Unai Emery’s side in the upcoming summer transfer window, noting his ambition to succeed independently after leaving United at a young age.

“I’ve been thoroughly impressed by his performances, and I believe he’s caught the attention of several top clubs. With his experience representing England at various youth levels, he’s received top-notch training both domestically and internationally.

Personally, I’d be keen to see him join Villa, and if Unai Emery is interested, I’d drive him to Villa Park myself. If Luton faces relegation, Mengi’s Premier League stay appears inevitable, making this a situation worth monitoring for Villa.”
