Chelsea remain keen on 15-goal star, ready to negotiate terms of his release

Chelsea continues to express interest in securing the talents of 25-year-old Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

Despite substantial spending on player acquisitions in recent transfer windows, Chelsea’s performance has not significantly improved, prompting them to seek ways to rejuvenate their squad for the upcoming season.

A major concern for the team has been their efficacy in scoring goals, with Cole Palmer standing out but lacking adequate support. Consequently, Chelsea aims to acquire a top-tier striker in the summer transfer window, with Victor Osimhen remaining a prime target according to Rudy Galetti.

The Nigerian international, renowned as one of the premier strikers globally, is sought by Chelsea to lead their attacking line in the forthcoming season, given his impressive track record and current form, which includes 15 goals and four assists in 28 appearances this season, contributing to Napoli’s previous league title victory.

Can Chelsea afford Victor Osimhen?

Chelsea’s primary objective is to strengthen their attacking lineup, with Osimhen being their top priority.

Although discussions have been slow, the club still views him as their main target. Negotiations with Napoli regarding his release terms are pending, but Chelsea must first address any Financial Fair Play (FFP) concerns. Osimhen’s contract includes a significant release clause, and Chelsea aim to negotiate payment in installments.
