27-year-old expected to leave Leicester after falling down the pecking order

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho is reportedly being considered for a departure from the club after this season.

Trabzonspor is eyeing a move for the 27-year-old striker if they are unable to secure Paul Onuachu on a permanent basis. Onuachu has impressed during his loan stint, prompting Trabzonspor’s interest in keeping him for the next season.

Iheanacho’s contract with Leicester is set to expire, and he hasn’t been a central figure under Enzo Maresca, indicating a potential departure. Securing him on a free transfer would be a significant coup for Trabzonspor, and it will be intriguing to monitor the situation as it unfolds.

Iheanacho should consider leaving Leicester City.

Due to his limited playing time, with only four appearances since the beginning of the year. A move to Turkey, especially if Trabzonspor offers him regular opportunities, could be beneficial. As he’s currently in his prime, he aims to compete consistently at a high level.

Leicester City, aiming for promotion to the Premier League, might face challenges in their pursuit. Offloading the former Manchester City player this summer would help ease their financial strain, especially after breaching profit and sustainability rules. Alongside Iheanacho, other first-team players might also be considered for departure to alleviate the financial pressure.
