Chelsea loanee Ian Maatsen has doubled Borussia Dortmund’s advantage to 2-0 in their Champions League quarter-final second leg encounter against Atletico Madrid.

This goal propels the German side to a 3-2 lead on aggregate, positioning them deservedly to progress at halftime. Julian Brandt initiated the scoring for the Bundesliga team in the 34th minute.

Edin Terzic’s squad has now surged ahead, with Maatsen, on loan from Chelsea, netting his maiden Champions League goal. Since joining Dortmund in January from the Premier League club, the left-back has exhibited commendable performances in Germany.
