Harry Kane responds to Jude Bellingham penalty incident with telling answer
Harry Kane responded to Jude Bellingham’s attempt at ‘trash talking’ before successfully converting a penalty for Bayern Munich in their 2-2 draw against Real Madrid.
Kane took advantage of the opportunity in the second half, calmly slotting the ball into the bottom left corner after Jamal Musiala was fouled by Federico Valverde.
Despite Bellingham’s efforts to distract him before the penalty, Kane remained composed and focused, ultimately delivering for his team.
Speaking to TNT Sports’ Jules Breach after the game, Kane was questioned about the incident involving Jude Bellingham. He responded, “I don’t know what he was saying, I saw him in my ear mumbling something. I’d have to ask him what he actually said! In that moment, I’m just in my zone, I’m just trying to block everything out. I’m sure he was trying to say something to put me off, but thankfully it was okay for me.”
Both teams head into the second leg at the Bernabeu level after an intense match in Munich. Vinicius Junior put Real Madrid ahead at halftime with their only shot on target in the first half. However, Bayern Munich quickly responded in the second half, with Leroy Sane equalizing.
Kane then secured the lead for Bayern with his penalty. Yet, Real Madrid fought back, with Vinicius converting a penalty of his own in the 83rd minute, resulting in another memorable Champions League encounter.
